The Sub-Saharan Africa International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (SAIPEC), organized by the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN) in collaboration with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), is set to showcase multi-billion-dollar project opportunities in Nigeria and across Africa. Scheduled to take place in Lagos from February 11-13, 2025, this event will provide a key platform for advancing the continent's energy, oil, and gas ambitions. As the 9th edition of the conference, SAIPEC 2025 is strategically partnered with over 30 national oil companies and regulators from Sub-Saharan Africa, making it a significant gathering for the region's energy sector.
The conference will focus on local content as a central theme and is expected to attract over 6,000 industry stakeholders from more than 50 countries, including representatives from National and International Oil Companies, government bodies, service providers, and regulators. The three-day program will feature keynote addresses from leading industry figures and discussions on crucial topics such as driving Africa's energy future, plans for economic growth, and the African Content Series, hosted by the NCDMB for the 5th consecutive year. Other key subjects include African gas strategies, financial frameworks, and Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion initiatives, emphasizing inclusive growth in Africa’s energy sector.
A highlight of SAIPEC 2025 will be the Future Generations Conference, which aims to inspire the next wave of African energy leaders. Additionally, the conference will feature technical sessions and the prestigious SAIPEC Awards, celebrating innovations and achievements within the oil and gas industry. Networking will be a central aspect of the event, with multiple opportunities for stakeholders to form partnerships, including exclusive receptions and PETAN's concluding golf day event. The international exhibition will also provide a dynamic platform to showcase the latest technology, innovations, and services across the energy value chain, with exhibitors highlighting advancements in drilling, exploration, digital technology, and sustainability.
